Welcome to Perspective Farms!
In 2019 we had the opportunity to purchase a beautiful hay farm in northern Boone County, just outside the city limits of Columbia, Missouri. We love our almost 100-acres of hay fields with Rocky Fork Creek running through the property and providing a wide variety of wildlife. Our favorites are the absolutely adorable otters and majestic eagles we see soaring over the hay fields.
We love our farm for many reasons and chose Perspective for the name as it describes both the beauty of the farm and our philosophy on many things in life.
Michelle is a retired sales and marketing executive with a passion for Arabian horses. Although she grew up with other breeds, once Michelle bought her first Arabian there was no going back. The temperament and personality of the Arabian breed is what made the difference. And then Michelle went to a fun show with a friend who was showing and got the show bug. One horse became two and now Todd and Michelle are breeding and raising Arabian and Half-Arabian horses. In her “spare time” Michelle volunteers with a number of organizations including the Arabian Horse Association, Arabian Horsemen’s Distress Fund and is President of the Central States Arabian Horse Association, a local club.
Todd is a founding partner at the Columbia, MO based law firm, LearWerts. Although he works long hours he also enjoys spending his free time on the farm — and there is always something that needs to be done on the farm! Todd also enjoys watching Michelle and their horses in the show arena whenever he gets a chance.
